I set up a board with 5 beginner topics and 5 questions.

Are you looking for something fun and interactive for your students? Without all of the set-up, printing, and paper waste? Then, make an online Jeopardy game! This can be adapted to fit any age, level or topic easily. I use it for my middle and high school Spanish students, as well as adults. Bonus: If you make a student the host, it can also serve as a communicative activity in the foreign language classroom.

USING MIRO FOR LANGUAGE CLASSES

Below you will see a video of my Jeopardy game, which I set up using Miro┬┤s online whiteboard. With Miro, I can save the main format as a template, and then modify each one to fit different levels. By using the undo button, I can easily make the board ready to play again.

Another benefit of using Miro, or a similar online whiteboard, is that students can access the board from a phone or tablet, in addition to their computer, and see what is happening in real time.

As an added bonus – the board can be embedded on any website, linking back to the online whiteboard. Below, you can see the Jeopardy board here on this page. Feel free to click on the link to view the actual board set-up.
